Welcome to EDUC 560 students in Beirut!
This Blog will be used to share ideas and findings in this course. Please feel free to comment on any post. This blog will be our "social arena" to connect in and out of class. Keep your discussion flowing!
Some students in class were interested in the Open Education Resource (OER) I talked about in class earlier. Check this website for more information: http://wikieducator.org/OERF:Home
BTW Wikieducator is a great resource for teachers, it is a WIKI! which means that you can edit the posts!!
I just came across a very interesting blog! where you can find definitions of Productivity Tools, Web2.0, and ideas about a new type of Open Source that may put Microsoft tools at risk :) Worth reading: http://www.seanrattigan.com/?p=25
Hello, I will start by sharing the following website: https://join.me/
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, there are only 14 days free trial then you will have to pay!
What is it? it is a way to SHARE your desktop with others!! I tried it today with people from Pearson in Egypt and it was great!
Cheers, Zeina

English Is The Funniest Language
ReplyDeleteWe'll begin with a box and the plural is boxes.
But the plural of ox should be oxen, not oxes.
The one fowl is a goose but two are called geese,
Yet the plural of moose should never be meese.
You may find one mouse or a whole set of mice,
Yet the plural of house is houses not hice.
If the plural of man is always called men,
Why shouldn't the plural of pan be called pen?
If I speak of a foot and you show me your feet,
And I give you a boot, would a pair be called beet?
If one is a tooth and a whole set are teeth,
Why should not the plural of booth be called beeth?
Then one may be that and three would be those,
Yet hat in the plural wouldn't be hose.
And the plural of cat is cats and not cose.
We speak of a brother and also of brethren,
But though we say Mother, we never say Methren.
Then the masculine pronouns are he, his and him,
But imagine the feminine she, shis and shim.
So English, I fancy you will all agree,
Is the funniest language you ever did see.
